The management and staff of World Scientific congratulate Prof Chen Ning Yang, Nobel laureate in Physics, on being conferred the Degree of Doctor of Science (Honoris Causa) by Nanyang Technological University (NTU), Singapore on 16 October 2008 in recognition of his significant and wide-ranging contributions in the science arena, his inspiration to many young students and his close ties with NTU.
Prof Yang is World Scientific's pioneer editorial adviser and author; we are grateful to him for his long-time support of our company. His latest Chinese book Twilight Collection (expanded edition) published by Global Publishing (an imprint of World Scientific) is a selection of his best literary works produced during the last 30 years of his academic career and personal experiences. His essays also discuss the development of physics and issues concerning education, society and culture.
