World Scientific's Hedge Fund Alpha: A Framework for Generating and Understanding Investment Performance book recently received critical acclaim from The Investment Professional, the quarterly published journal of The New York Society of Security Analysts.

The review commended book editor Professor John M Longo from Rutgers University for skillfully connecting both the "portfolio manager's and the investor's perspectives" to hedge funds and for providing an exclusive look at generating and understanding investment performance. The review further commended Longo for identifying seven trends in the hedge funds industry and for drawing upon experts like Erman Civelek and Saad Rathore to provide coverage on their subject areas.

Mr Max Phua, Executive Director of World Scientific said, "Professor Longo has given us some useful perspectives to hedge funds in an appealing and easy-to-digest manner. World Scientific is proud to be part of this insightful book which I believe will go a long way in helping investors as well as portfolio managers gain a deeper understanding about hedge funds."
