World Scientific is set to publish the International Journal of Air-conditioning and Refrigeration.

Helmed by Professor Nae Hyun Kim, Editorial Vice-President of the Society of Air-Conditioning and Refrigerating Engineers of Korea and a Professor at University of Incheon, Korea, the journal's editorial board also consists of renowned academics/researchers from the field, including Srinivas Garimella (Georgia Institute of Technology and Fellow, American Society of Mechanical Engineers), Seung M.You (University of Texas at Arlington and Fellow, American Society of Mechanical Engineers), Yongchan Kim (Korea University, Living Science Award, International Scientist of the Year, International Educator of the Year, IBC, 2004), Chi-Chuan Wang (Industrial Technology Research Institute, elected Fellow, American Society of Mechanical Engineers and an elected Fellow, American Society of Heating, Refrigerating and Air-Conditioning Engineers), and Predrag S. Hrnjak (Air Conditioning and Refrigeration Center, Recipient of the Rittinger Medal, International Energy Agency's Heat Pump Conference, 2008) amongst others.

Professor Kim said, "There is a rapidly expanding interest in this field in many countries around the world especially the developing ones and this signals the importance of continued research on ways on how to air-condition or refrigerate better. As technology in this field continues to grow, I am certain that the benefits will be experienced not only by the commercial sectors involved in air-conditioning and refrigeration, but also by the common people who use it on a daily basis."

The first issue of the journal is scheduled to be published by June 2010. More information of the journal can be found at http://www.worldscinet.com/ijacr/. The journal was previously published by the Society of Air-Conditioning and Refrigerating Engineers of Korea.
