9 Sep 2005 Hans Bethe (1906-2005) won the Nobel Prize in 1967 and he was the last of the giants of theoretical physicists during the 20th century. He had asked his long-time collaborator, Gerry Brown, to edit a book explaining his physics. Brown and Chang-Hwan Lee, also a Bethe collaborator, are putting together reviews by experts including C.N. Yang, Freeman Dyson, Neil Ashcroft, David Mermin, Boris Ioffe and others. This important new book Hans Bethe and His Physics will be out in Summer 2006.
