World Scientific donates more than 17,000 books to seven Vietnamese Universities

The books donated comprised 540 different titles from a broad range of subjects including physics, mathematics, medicine and economics.

Besides Hanoi University of Technology, the other six universities receiving the books were Da Nang University, Hanoi National University (University of Natural Science), Ho Chi Minh City University of Technology (Ho Chi Minh City National University), Hue University, Research Institute for Nuclear Energy of Da Lat, and University of Da Lat.

The books were presented to the libraries of these universities to broaden their collections and provide more reference materials for students and academic staff.

Since its inception, World Scientific has been committed to supporting research and education in developing countries. Last year, World Scientific donated 21,000 books to the International Centre for Theoretical Physics, Italy (ICTP) for distribution to libraries in developing countries. World Scientific also provided ICTP access to selected eJournals for redistribution of individual articles via email to scientists and institutions in developing countries.
